Nature:
N-benzyl -1, 3-propanediamine is an organic molecule whose chemical formula is C10H16N2. It is a colorless liquid or solid, with a strong amino nature. The substance is stable at room temperature, but easily absorbs moisture. It can be dissolved in many organic solvents, such as ethanol, ether and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Use:
N-benzyl -1, 3-propanediamine is often used as an intermediate in dyes, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, rubber and plastics industries. Preparation Method:
In general, N-benzyl-1, 3-propanediamine can be prepared by the Maginol reaction of benzylamine and malonyl diethyl ester. In the reaction, benzylamine and malonyl diethyl ester are condensed under the action of acid catalyst to produce N-benzyl -1, 3-propanediamine.
